Do you have an idea for a mobile app but don't know how to bring it to life? It's not easy, but try it - use our algorithm.

What you need to turn an idea into a mobile application:

  • Description of your idea (presentation)

  • Business plan (how, after all, you will make money from your application)

  • Implementation plan for the application (how you will do it)

  • Presentation of your team (all investors and publishers say that the team is actually much more important than the idea)

  • It's good if you have a working prototype

Already at the stage of forming these documents, you can begin to collect expert opinions. This is very important for promoting your idea!

On average, the cost of developing a prototype or the first version of an application can be very approximately estimated at 10-20 thousand dollars.

If you have this money, you can choose a developer (see our next infographic about this) and order development. You will most likely need at least one project manager to manage the entire development cycle.

If this money is not available, then you can try to find an investor. To do this, we recommend visiting forums where venture capital funds and startups participate, presenting your projects in incubators, etc.

Suppose you could not find funding, but you know programming - then you should develop a prototype yourself and release it to the market, it will greatly improve your presentation in the eyes of potential investors. Perhaps you can create a mobile website or HTML5 app that solves most of your idea, or you can build an app using app builders to help you get to the market a lot.

If you're not programming you know, you can turn your idea into a mobile application at one of the hackathons - they are now held regularly, and you can definitely find the right one for you. Submitting an idea, building a team, prototyping and performing at the hackathon will also greatly improve your position.

Finally, you can turn to crowdfunding. This is the longest and most unreliable path, but it also works quite well.

Remember that the path from an idea to a mobile application is long and full of pitfalls. You are unlikely to succeed if you do not devote all your time and energy to it. We hope we can help you a little with this.

Well, there are two options. Either learn to program yourself (and the desire to create an application will be a great help, since learning programming with a concrete real example is much easier than with the abstract ones given in most textbooks and courses), or find someone who knows how and share an idea.
