January, 2021You know, these double standards work both ways. How often do I hear "I bought a game on my Console \ PeKa for 4 THOUSANDS ?? Are you a fool?", From people who have been pouring 700-1000 rubles monthly into some browser or mobile masturbator for 4 years and do not see it no contradictions at all. As for me, the only question here is ethics for children under 18, it is advisable to protect them from any potentially dangerous gambling, and then adults - they want a new armored elf in an MMO or a pack of pixels for a mobile phone - their business.

January, 2021I think the reason is that this platform is not designed for normal games. It is inconvenient to play on it, and it is used for games mainly to kill time in the subway / queue, etc. And no development will happen in the future. Everything will continue to breed miserable platformers and indie games (shit from rogue snobs for other snobs)

January, 2021This is a problem for the entire mobile games market. There is a huge demand for this area now, but the audience of such games is not particularly demanding on the quality of the product. It is difficult to say what exactly is the problem: in the players or in the direction itself.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you mention the phrase "mobile game"? A simple platformer, clicker, collectible card game, RTS, sports simulator and more. All of the above suits the needs of its audience quite well: simple games to kill time on the road, at school / university.
And that's not bad. The only problem is that this direction of gaming is not developing as fast as on computers and consoles. Developers copy other people's ideas and add a huge amount of advertising and donation systems.
One can understand why such projects are attractive to developers. The process of creating mobile games is fast and not very expensive, while at the same time they receive huge profits from donation. It is not clear why players are willing to endure this and invest in another Clash of Clans or Hearthstone clone.
For example, after the release of Star Wars: Battlefront II, players faced a very tough donation in this game.

Users in a rage put zeros on Metacritic, wrote angry comments on the forums - and thus forced EA to reconsider its attitude. It is difficult to imagine the same community reaction on a mobile platform.
This trend has become attractive even for large developers of computer games. EA makes mediocre copies of its sports simulators; official versions of PUBG and Fortnite appear. Bethesda at E3, the largest gaming trade show of the year, is devoting time to two mobile projects that look very bad.
Perhaps the cloud technology will bring something new to the gaming life. Orion technology was announced at E3. Bethesda has demonstrated the work of DOOM 2016 on a smartphone at 4K and 60 FPS:

Looks impressive. I would like to believe that this will have a positive effect on the mobile gaming industry, but I am not sure about it.
