Neither system is suitable for this kind of tasks. Of the least known to the general user, one can recall only QNX, one of the versions of which Blackberry uses in its gadgets. In fact, here you need to go a little from the other side. Apple already has HomeKit technology to integrate various smart home gadgets around the Apple ecosystem.

Such devices must support the corresponding technology built into iOS devices, including AppleTV. Therefore, it is not so important what operating system will be inside the vacuum cleaner or iron, the main thing is integration around the central "hub" of the ecosystem.

And then these devices can already be controlled from both the iPhone and Apple Watch.
